We hope you had a good time at the Ormiston and Friends Reunion 2023.
The vibe was great from the arrival of the first registrants and to the final goodbyes in Ormiston. The “Meet and Greet” team set a welcoming tone on Saturday. The socializing at the afternoon reception was contagious — everyone wanted to visit. The dinner, the panel and the band made an enjoyable evening. The Oro Lake turnout was excellent. And the energy and ambiance was evident as the reunion group carried on to Ormiston. The townsite signs and tractor tour was appreciated. The old hometown was well groomed and once again hosted its alumni.
The weather was perfect and so was the participation. The reunion tallied 175 guests. You came from across Saskatchewan and from across Canada. Ormiston ambassadors from seven provinces attended the get-together.
The reunion was a financial success, too: The surplus is a result of generous sponsors and aggressive bidders at the silent auction. The auction together with patrons of the cash bar generated a profit of $6,881.49. The committee has agreed to distribute the profit as follows:
1/ $1,500.00 to the Ormiston Church
2/ $1,500.00 to the Ormiston Hall
3/ $3,881.49 to the Oro Lake Committee/Board
